if its a new recording without the always terrible Kate Shindle and the ever mediocre backup Rob Evans. Though im not a fan of the version overall anyway, the new song "If you only knew" is great and Brandi is awesome, other than that...too much transsiberian orchestra stuff and it just doesn't work for me - its good, but really if you have heard the complete work, its very dissapointing(yes, im comparing, because if you're not, then you obivously haven't heard the complete work)

I've heard all of them. I think "Resurrection" is better than "Highlights from Jekyll & Hyde". That's what makes it a good album to me. The only problem I remember having was that it seemed to drag.

highlights is pretty terrible if i recall, as is the concept with Colm.
Resurrection may be better than others, but its not amazing and I really dont think it would make anyone really get interested in Franks work(that wasnt before Razz

Kate isn't mediorcre and Robert Evan is the longest running jekyll ever. That may be cause he cares about the show more than anyone else, but I love him in the role. On Broadway at least. In the recording he was trying to sound too Pop, not enough Classical. Of course this isn't as good as the Warlow recording, but it's better than the broadway recording and that's good enough for me. I dare someone to do a production featuring the song list from the Warlow and a new script. If someone was smart enough to do that, totally eliminate lost in the darkness and the "oh my daddy is insane and I have to cure him" plot line and any Facade lyrics that have to do with the Good and Evil theme, it will be pretty damn awesome.

rob evans is the longest running backup, a good singer, he definately does some things very well(this is the moment), but other things(i need to know) are terrible, ill admit hes better than robert cuccilo by quite a bit.

However, I do agree, Kate Shindle is NOT mediocre, shes TERRIBLE.
would you like proof? well, here goes
1. shes a backup role in the stupid musical legally blonde, and she plays the part very poorly
2. you've heard her attempt to sing "someone like you", "bring on the men", "in his eyes", etc... talk about pain
3. listen to some of these http://www.amazon.com/Till-Today-Kate-Shindle/dp/B00007JGUR/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1206909454&sr=1-1

But she's hot...lol

Rob was an alternate, not an understudy and between taking over the part and being the lead in the concert he has performed it more than anyone else. Even David Weitzer. and if he did I need to know in a normal legit style of singing he'd kick ass, but instead he went for a pop-style which sounded too whiny...oh well. And his version of Alive is almost my favorite now.

The whole point of Global Vision is that Frank & Jeremy have the control over every album they would not have at one of the major labels who at this point aren't even interested in Musical albums. As far as distribution Koch is one of the largest independents for both music and film. The best thing would be better marketing for the next release. I was perfectly happy with the production values of Jekyll and felt that it was available in a wealth of areas, the biggest issue appeared to be no one knew it came out other than members of the board.
