Hi,

I'm new here but I've been checking back here for what seems like an eternity waiting for the release of this CD.

Is there anywhere that has this yet? Downloads preferably? I've checked iTunes.

Driving me nuts waiting for this recording. Crying or Very sad

Steve

Soon. MTI just got the rights to the show and they wouldn't make it available to theatres until they have a reference recording to offer.

More of a pity for the people who do have it and are not anticipating it. It's all over Youtube now.

'cause youtube quality is...top notch Rolling Eyes

and why would i want to anticipate it when i can listen to it whenever i want?
i think this quote is the dumbest thing i've heard this year.

oh and FYI: i was referring to the fact that this brilliant music isn't being distributed the way it should be and it is a crime that people are still waiting on the pathetic likes of frank and company

I don't think they should release it at all at this point. Everyone who wants to hear it already has it and probably won't spend money on the actual disc if it were to ever be released. I think they should head into the studio one last time and record a new CD for MTI that includes all of the songs currently in the licensed version using the provided orchestrations. That way theatre companies will have a better reference recording to go on. This concept recording probably won't persuade anyone to produce the show and it certainly won't help singers to learn the score.

Well from what I see the german recording is a perfect reference for the MTI version...just in a different language.

True. Though it is still missing "At Last" and "Summers Come, Summers Go". Whatever that is. I'm assuming it's a reworking of "Roseanne". And I would still argue that a German language recording is less accessible to an English language theatre company trying to decide whether or not to do the show.

Summers Come, Summers Go I assume is Roseanne. At Last really doesn't need to be in the show, but oh well. All the sample clips on MTI are from the Globalvision recording.
